Directions

Vaporetto:

The ACTV waterbus vaporetto is helpful public transportation getting to and from the train station as well as in and around the islands. It is available day and night.

The ACTV vaporetto tickets are time based. The shortest time is 75 minutes from validation for 9.50 Euro per person. There are also available 1, 2, 3 and 7 day passes from ACTV for use all over the city and the islands around. Buy your ACTV vaporetto tickets outside the train station next to dock B.

Exit straight out of the train station to the Grand Canal, find the ACTV vaporetto docks, take line 2, 1, 4.1, 5.1, or N to the various San Marco or San Zaccaria stops. Please note the docks letters may change due to night hours or to dock maintenance.

Quick & Scenic - Line 2: (Hours 09:22- 19:46) 29 min
From dock B take line 2 down the Grand Canal in the direction of Rialto direct to San Marco Giardinetti stop (Note: Do not take line 2/ it ends at Rialto and does not continue to San Marco, if you do take it and you are told to get off at Rialto, just get off and wait there for the next line 2 to continue your trip). Line 2/: Attention: Through the Grand Canal ONLY UNTIL Rialto, and not San Marco! (Note: if you do happen to board and you are told to get off the vaporetto at Rialto, just get off and wait there at the Rialto stop for the next line 2 going towards San Marco to continue your trip).)

Quick - Line 4.1: (Hours 06:52 - 20:12) 29 min
From dock C take line 4.1 around the outside of Venice direct to San Marco-San Zaccaria stop. (Note: the 4.1 boats may be smaller with steps and more difficult with lots of luggage). Quick - Line 5.1: (Hours 05:11 - 00:24) 26 min
From dock C take line 5.1 around the outside of Venice direct to San Marco-San Zaccaria stop. (Note: the 5.1 boats may be smaller with steps and more difficult with lots of luggage). Long & Scenic - Line 1: (Hours 05:04 - 23:44) 46 min
From dock E take line 1 (or dock B line 1 after 21:00) down the Grand Canal in the direction of Rialto direct to San Marco-Vallaresso stop. (Note: Do not take line 1/ or 2/ they end at Rialto and do not continue to San Marco, if you do take it and you are told to get off at Rialto, just get off and wait there for the next line 1 to continue your trip).
